AI Poster Generator for Ads: Posters Laid Out From Your Site
An AI poster generator turns a description into a finished poster: the layout, the type and the picture. Canva and Adobe Express build one from your prompt. Image V1 builds a poster ad from your own site, for a feed instead of a wall.123
AI poster generatorIn short
- Canva and Adobe Express start from a prompt. Adobe: "Simply type in a prompt of what you want to create and watch as template options are generated for your needs."2
- Ideogram paints the words into a generated image, and still warns that one "can still come back with a doubled letter or a missing word".4
- Print or feed: print posters come in sizes such as 11 x 17 inches; a poster ad runs at 9:16 or 1:1.56
- Image V1 lays a poster ad out from your link, with every word set as type and checked on the drawn picture.3
What is an AI poster generator?
A tool that designs a whole poster from a few words. You describe the event, the offer or the theme, and it returns a layout with a headline, a picture and the details. Canva's version asks you to "Add the theme, text, and style."1
Most of them are made for posters that get printed or shared. A poster that runs as an ad has one more job: to make someone scrolling stop and tap.
What makes a poster work as an ad?
One thing, seen first and from a distance. For a poster in a feed:
- One hero: a word, a number or a picture, big enough to read at a third of the size.
- The details in order: what, where, when, how much.
- One button, in the words the business already uses.
- The business's own look: its photos, colours and type.

The poster above does all four. "FREE" is the first thing seen, the club's own photo is the picture, and "Enter the HUT" is the only button.
How do the main AI poster tools work?
From each maker's own pages, read on 24 October 2026:
| Tool | What goes in | How the poster is made | Files | To start |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Canva | A prompt: theme, text and style1 | Generated with AI, then editable in Canva1 | PNG, PDF, JPG or SVG1 | Up to 20 AI uses on Free7 |
| Adobe Express | A prompt2 | "template options are generated", "Designed to be commercially safe"2 | JPG, PNG or PDF, or MP4 if animated2 | Free with "limited generative AI credits"; Premium US$9.99 a month8 |
| Ideogram | A prompt, the words in quotes4 | Generated, with the words painted in4 | Generated images | 30 credits a week, public9 |
| 10xvid Image V1 | Your App Store link or website | Laid out as a page from your own pictures, colours and type3 | 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9 | Image ads on paid plans; Solo about 40 a month10 |
Read the terms on what you made. Canva's poster page says you own what you create with its AI, "and you give us the right to host them on our platform and use them for marketing our products".1
What size should a poster ad be?
It depends on where it will be seen. For print, Adobe lists 11 x 17, 18 x 24 and 20 x 20 inches among the most common sizes.5 A feed needs other shapes: on Meta, 9:16 for Stories and Reels, and 4:5 or 1:1 for the feeds.6
Image V1 makes 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9, for screens, not print.3 For the size of each Meta placement, see Facebook and Instagram ad image sizes.
What does an event poster ad look like, taken apart?
Here is HUT's opening week in 9:16, the shape of a story:

- The headline: "Itaewon's new nightclub opens", in the club's heavy type.
- The proof: the address, under the headline.
- The details: four nights in a column, each with its date, time and price, two of them "FREE".
- The button: "Enter the HUT", with the club's site beside it.
Check every date and price against your own site before it runs. A poster ad with a wrong detail sends people to a door that says something else.
How do you write a poster ad?
- Pick the one thing to see first: the offer, the date, the number, or the product.
- Write the headline in a few words, and set it as large as the frame allows.
- List the details a buyer needs to act: where, when, how much. Nothing else.
- Use your own picture, and your colours and type.
- End on one button.
- Make each shape for where it will run, and read it at a third of its size.

Where 10xvid fits
10xvid, motion graphics ads for apps, makes poster ads with Image V1, from your link. It reads your site, sketches three ways in, and lays the strongest out as a page from your own pictures, colours and type. "It does not generate photos."3 Each poster is judged at 8 of 10 and made again under it.3

Questions about AI poster generators
What is the best AI poster generator?
For a print poster from a prompt, Canva or Adobe Express. For a poster ad built from your own site, Image V1.123

It depends on the tool's terms. Adobe calls its AI posters "commercially safe"; Canva keeps the right to use them in its own marketing.21
What size is a poster ad on Instagram?
9:16 for Stories and Reels, and 4:5 or 1:1 for the feed.6
Can an AI poster generator get the words right?
